You probably have many questions as you begin your new, custom home project. Here are some common questions we get asked. Below you will find a short list of questions and answers to get you started.

Why should I use a licensed contractor?

There are many reasons you should consider using a licensed contractor, but probably the most significant reason is related to your own liability. State certified general contractors meet all requirements set by the state of Florida to include appropriate workers compensation insurance. If you do business with an unlicensed contractor chances are they will not be properly insured and if a worker injures themselves on your property you could be liable. Get your project started right with a properly licensed general contractor.

Can I afford to build? (Why you can!)

For now, interest rates are still at super low levels. Chance are you can get qualified for a home that will meet your needs and pay no more than you are already paying in rent.

How long does it take to build a home?

The answer to this question can vary, of course, depending on the size, complexity, and finishes involved with building your home. A basic 3-bed, 2-bath home with average finishes will only take three to five months to construct. A larger home and/or a home with more elaborate and varied finishes can take four months to a year or more just depending on the details.
